Job summary

Tom Orange Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Warehouse Operative with a valid FLT (Counterbalance) licence to join our logistics team in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on safe handling, movement of goods, and maintaining accurate stock records in a busy warehouse environment.

Work is Monday to Friday, 6am–2pm, with responsibilities including stacking, loading/unloading, stock control, and assisting with shipping and receiving while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift truck licence (Counterbalance) is essential.
• Proven experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
• Basic mathematical skills for stock counting and data entry tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift trucks and other warehouse equipment safely to load, unload, and transport goods.
• Bailing recyclable waste.
• Handle materials with care, including loading/unloading lorries and pallets.
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, verify deliveries against orders.
• Perform basic equipment repairs and maintenance checks for safety.
• Organise stock storage areas for optimal space utilisation.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies.
