Job summary

Barfoots of Botley Ltd is seeking warehouse operators for day shift roles on a 4-on/4-off pattern at Leythorne or Sefter sites. You will work in a temperature-controlled warehouse, loading/unloading, and moving goods between production and despatch areas.

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will follow SOPs, prioritise safety, and support continuous improvements in warehousing tasks. Training is provided to cover all site duties.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a busy, temperature-controlled warehouse.
• Adherence to trained SOPs and health & safety standards.
• Focus on customer satisfaction and zero errors.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload delivery vehicles.
• Ensure safe transfer/locating of finished products to despatch from production.
• Ensure safe transfer/locating of raw materials.
• Be trained for all warehousing duties across Leythorne and Sefter sites.
• Maintain high health and safety standards in all areas.
• Report hazards and accidents promptly.

Job description

Full time DAY SHIFT positions, 4 days on, 4 days off

With various opportunities across our sites, duties and responsibilities will be centred around our busy Logistics departments. Working as part of a team, our warehouse operators and forklift drivers assist with the safe transfer of produce to and from production and storage areas, as well as picking & packing orders and loading unloading delivery vehicles utilising MHE and Forklift trucks where necessary. You will be confident working in a busy, temperature controlled, warehouse environment and manoeuvring goods around safely both inside and out. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be passionate about providing a first class service at all times and be responsible for ensuring all operational warehousing tasks are completed in a safe, timely and efficient manner. Operating in both inside and outside areas with associated responsibilities.

Opportunities could be either Sefter Farm or Leythorne site based.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading & Unloading of delivery vehicles
• Ensure safe transfer/locating of finished products to despatch from production
• Ensure safe transfer/locating of raw materials
• To be trained for all warehousing area duties across both Leythorne and Sefter sites
• Adherence to all trained SOPs
• Focus on internal and external customer satisfaction with zero errors
• To operate clean as you go principles whilst carrying out duties
• To maintain high standards of health and safety in all operating areas
• Hazards and accidents reported to the manager in a timely manner
• Focus on continuous improvements
