Job summary

Northwood Consuma Tissue Ltd is seeking a Forklift Driver to move goods within our site and warehouses, loading/unloading deliveries and stacking pallets for storage and delivery. You will follow safety rules, perform safety checks, and maintain accurate records.

The role requires FLT Counterbalance and Reach licences, plus experience with RPPT and handheld scanners. You will work to deadlines and support stock takes in a busy production environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift/reach truck to load, unload, move, and rearrange stock.
• Load and unload deliveries and ensure accurate pallet records.
• Follow all site safety rules and report near misses or injuries.
• Carry out pre-use safety checks and maintain records.
• Ensure 100% accuracy when loading/unloading against paperwork.
• Perform daily and weekly cleaning tasks.
• Check product labels and place pallets in correct locations.
• Support stocktakes and provide correct pallet types for production orders.

Job description

This Forklift Driver role involves moving goods around our site and warehouses, ensuring all safety requirements are met. You will be responsible for loading and unloading deliveries, and stacking, transporting, and recording various items and pallets for storage and delivery.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:

• operating a forklift/reach truck to load, unload, move, and rearrange stock.
• basic operation of the palletiser system and conveyor.
• following all site safety rules to maintain a safe working environment, reporting any near misses, incidents, and injuries.
• carrying-out pre-use safety checks and ensuring accurate records are kept.
• ensuring 100% accuracy when loading and unloading by checking all products against paperwork.
• performing daily and weekly cleaning tasks.
• checking products are labelled correctly and put away in the correct locations and scanning pallets.
• achieving output targets set through effective teamworking.
• assisting with stocktakes.
• providing the correct pallet types required for production orders.

Job Requirements

Essential attributes:

• FLT Counterbalance and Reach licence
