Job summary

Motive Offshore Group Ltd is hiring a Forklift Operator/Labourer based in Banff, Aberdeenshire. The role involves painting, housekeeping, and assisting the rental team, with duties across the workshop and yard to support safe, efficient operations.

You will join a hands‑on team, gain experience in multiple workshop areas, and work with an experienced Fabrication Chargehand to enable quick, safe turn‑arounds of equipment.

Qualifications

• B1/B2/B3 tickets preferred but training can be provided.
• Ability to organise time and priorities.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

About the role:

Location: Banff, Aberdeenshire

Hours: Full Time

The Forklift Operator/Labourer will undertake painting, general housekeeping and assisting rental team in day to day tasks whilst ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with relevant Health and Safety guidelines.

You’ll join a supportive, hands‑on team where no two days are quite the same. You’ll gain experience across different areas of the workshop and yard, working alongside experienced colleagues while playing an important part in keeping our equipment and operations running safely and efficiently.

About the team:

As a part of our Manufacturing team, you’ll become part of a hardworking, and skilled team who are always working to high standards and specifications. You will be supported by our Fabrication Chargehand and have a team of skilled colleagues working alongside you, whose goal, much like your own, will be to enable a quick and safe turn‑around of equipment.

And you’ll be working alongside a committed and proud Motive team in the UK and globally that want to play their part in the growth of the business and support each other daily to create a positive, values driven and hard‑working professional environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders – clients, colleagues etc.

• Lead by example in setting the highest possible standards in the promotion of People Values, HSEQ procedures and best practice, ensuring compliance to the Motive Offshore Group HSEQ Policy, procedures, standards and regulatory obligations.
• Immediately report all accidents, incidents, near misses or environmental concerns
• Adhere to and participate in company‑wide sustainability policies, procedures and initiatives as they are developed to support our Net Zero objectives.

Product

• Forklift operator for B1, B2 and B3
• Keep the yard and workshop clean and organised to a high standard.
• Carry out de‑mobilisation notes on equipment returned to site from clients.
• Wash equipment on return from clients.
• Store equipment in dedicated areas.
• General housekeeping tasks.
• Assist in the set up & test of all relevant equipment.

Required skills / knowledge:

• B1, B2 and B3 tickets (preferred, however, not essential as training can be given).
• Ability to organise time effectively and prioritise workload, as required.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Willingness to understand and learn the Motive Offshore Group processes & procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Self‑motivated.
• Full UK Driving licence required.
