Job summary

Motive Offshore Group is seeking a Group HR Manager to lead a commercially focused HR function aligned to the Group Strategy across regions and functions.

The role reports to the HSEQ + People Director and drives organisational performance, capability and sustainable growth while shaping leadership capability and ensuring compliant, high-performing people practices globally.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a senior HR role within a fast-paced, multi-site and international organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law (international exposure desirable).
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • CIPD Level 7 or equivalent.
  • Degree in HR, Business, or related discipline (desirable).

  • Shape and execute the Group People Strategy to drive performance, capability and growth.

About the role:

The Group HR Manager leads the delivery of a high-impact, commercially focused HR function, ensuring all people strategies and initiatives are aligned to and enable the successful delivery of the Group Strategy.

The role is accountable for shaping and executing the Group People Strategy to drive organisational performance, capability, and sustainable growth across all regions. As a senior leader, the Group HR Manager acts as a trusted advisor to the HSEQ + People Director and wider leadership team, influencing key business decisions, strengthening leadership capability, and ensuring a consistent, compliant, and high-performing people framework globally.

About the team:

Reporting to our HSEQ and People Director, this is a newly created role with responsibility for leading and developing our HR, Recruitment and Learning & Development functions across all regions. The Group HR Manager will play a key role in shaping and delivering our people strategy, supporting continued growth and organisational development, and ensuring our people practices remain effective, consistent and aligned with the needs of the business globally.

Responsibilities:
People
  • Champion and embed the Motive Offshore Group People Values setting the standard for leadership behaviours across the organisation
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coach, challenge and support leaders to make high-quality, commercially sound people decisions aligned to business objectives and the Group strategy
  • Build and sustain strong credibility with senior leadership, being recognised as a trusted advisor who delivers measurable value and business impact
  • Provide line management, leadership, and development to the Recruitment Manager, HR Team Lead and L&D Team.
Planet
  • Embed Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles and Corporate Social Responsibility into HR strategy, policies, and practices
  • Promote diversity & inclusion, employee wellbeing, ethical conduct, and sustainable people practices
  • Support delivery of the Group’s sustainability and Net Zero objectives
Product
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the HSEQ + People Director, shaping strategic people and business decisions
  • Own and deliver the Group HR Strategy in collaboration with the HSEQ + People Director, aligned to business priorities
  • Lead organisational culture, engagement, and transformation initiatives across the Group
  • Work with senior leadership to shape workforce strategy and ensure capability to support growth
  • Act as a key advisor to senior leadership on all people-related matters
  • Support and contribute to HR aspects of acquisitions, including due diligence, organisational design, integration planning, and post-acquisition alignment
  • Support restructuring, leadership changes, expansion into and standardisation across new and existing geographies
  • Identify and propose opportunities for growth within the organisational structure
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation across all operating regions
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures
  • Escalate high-risk or sensitive matters to the HSEQ + People Director, providing recommendations and risk assessment
  • Oversee the wider HR and L&D teams, ensuring effective delivery of HR and L&D services across all regions
  • Set clear objectives, manage performance, and support professional development within the HR and L&D functions
  • Drive a high-performance culture aligned with company People values
  • Lead and continuously improve the performance management framework
  • Support leadership development and capability building across the organisation
  • Build and deliver succession planning and progression into roles
  • Champion and take responsibility for competency, training, and development across the Group
  • Lead and oversee recruitment strategy through the Recruitment Manager, ensuring alignment with business needs and Group strategy
  • Develop the annual recruitment plan to deliver with the Recruitment Manager, budget
  • Oversee HR systems and ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Produce and present regular and ad hoc HR reports and insights to the HSEQ + People Director and senior leadership team to support strategic decision-making
  • Analyse HR metrics (e.g. turnover, absence, performance trends) and provide insights to inform decision-making
Required skills / knowledge:
  • Proven experience in a senior HR role within a fast-paced, growing, multi-site and international organisation, supporting a global workforce of 400+ employees
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law (international exposure desirable)
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • CIPD Level 7 or equivalent
  • Degree in HR, Business, or related discipline (desirable)
  • Commercially aware and pragmatic
  • Strong communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
  • Proactive and solutions-focused
  • Able to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery
  • Flexibility to support a global organisation across multiple time zones
  • Practical and confident working across different countries with different cultures.
  • Ability to travel internationally frequently.
