Job summary

Interaction Recruitment client in Baldock is seeking a General Operative / Forklift Driver to join their family-run team. The role covers forklift operation, manual handling, deliveries support, and manufacturing assistance within a busy site.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid Counterbalance Forklift licence, be physically fit, punctual and a team player eager to learn, with own transport required due to location. Permanent, full-time position with training provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid in-date Counterbalance Forklift licence.
• Previous forklift experience preferred.
• Full UK driving licence and own transport due to location.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
• Willingness to learn new skills and be trained.
• Reliable with good timekeeping and attendance.
• Team player who is happy to help wherever required.
• Experience in warehouse, manufacturing or production is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Counterbalance Forklift safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload deliveries.
• Support the delivery team as required.
• Assist with the movement and handling of stone worktops.
• Support manufacturing team with day-to-day production tasks.
• Learn to operate manufacturing machinery and equipment.
• Carry out general warehouse and factory duties.
• Keep work areas clean and maintain safety standards.
