Job summary

First Base is seeking a Forklift Operative for a busy distribution centre in Sharpness. This permanent role follows a successful temp period, with immediate start and strong pay. You will work Mon-Fri, 8:00am-4:00pm, at a full-time site and may transition to rotating shifts in the future.

Candidates should hold Counterbalance or Bendi licences, have warehousing experience, and be reliable with good English communication. Safety gear provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance and/or Bendi forklift licence.
• Previous forklift and warehouse experience.
• Reliable and hardworking attitude.
• Good communication and English.
• Safety boots and a high-visibility vest.
• Own transport due to the location.
• Flexibility to move onto a rotating shift pattern in the future if required.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently
• Placing goods into designated storage locations
• Picking customer orders accurately

• Using RF scanners to process stock movements
• Carrying out manual handling duties, including lifting items up to 25kg

Forklift Operative (Temp to Perm)

Location: Sharpness

Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:00am - 4:00pm

Pay: £14.65 per hour

We are recruiting Forklift Operatives for an immediate start at a busy distribution centre in Sharpness. This is a full-time opportunity offering excellent rates of pay and the chance to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.

Key Responsibilities of a Forklift Operative:

• Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently


• Placing goods into designated storage locations


• Picking customer orders accurately


• Operating Counterbalance and/or Bendi forklift trucks


• Using RF scanners to process stock movements


• Carrying out manual handling duties, including lifting items up to 25kg


• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment

The Successful Forklift Operative Will Have:

• A valid Counterbalance and/or Bendi Forklift Truck licence


• Previous forklift and warehouse experience
