Job summary

Driver Hire Recruitment is seeking a Forklift Operator / Yard Operative in Rutherglen on an ongoing temporary basis. You will work Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm, and join a well-established fencing company.

The role involves operating a counterbalance forklift, loading/unloading, yard movement, and general upkeep. A valid RTITB Counterbalance Certificate is essential, with prior forklift/yard experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid RTITB Counterbalance Forklift Certificate (essential).
• Experience operating forklifts and yard work is preferred.
• Must be able to perform manual handling and physical lifting.

Responsibilities

• Operate a counterbalance forklift truck.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles.
• Move stock and materials around the yard.
• Perform general yard maintenance and tidying duties.
• Assist with stock organisation.
• Manual handling as required.

Driver Hire Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established fencing company based in Rutherglen, for a Forklift Operator / Yard Operative to join their team on an ongoing temporary basis.

Duties Include:

• Operating a counterbalance forklift truck
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
• Moving stock and materials around the yard
• General yard maintenance and tidying duties
• Assisting with stock organisation
• Manual handling and physical lifting as required

Requirements:

• Valid RTITB Counterbalance Forklift Certificate (essential)
• Previous forklift and yard experience preferred
• Ability to undertake physical work and manual handling duties
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
• Must be local to the area or have your own transport due to the early start time
