Job summary

Biffa Waste Services in Redcar is seeking a Logistics Operator to support the safe and efficient movement, storage and handling of materials on site at our polymers facility.

You will operate forklift trucks, manage weighbridge and documentation, maintain housekeeping and assist with loading and unloading of vehicles in a busy site environment.

The role emphasises health and safety, PPE use, and teamwork within a high-standards operations team.

Qualifications

• FLT forklift qualification or licence required.
• Understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to complete basic site documentation accurately.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift trucks safely and carry out daily safety checks.
• Operate weighbridge, complete relevant documentation, and direct materials to storage locations.
• Carry out checks on product storage silos and maintain clean, safe yard and storage areas.
• Follow health and safety procedures, wear PPE, report hazards and participate in toolbox talks and training.
