Quest Employment Ltd. in Northampton, NN4, is seeking an experienced Forklift Engineer to service, maintain and repair forklift trucks and MHE. You will diagnose faults and perform preventive maintenance to keep equipment safe and reliable.

The role is permanent, full-time with Monday–Friday hours (8:00am–4:30pm), 22 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, overtime opportunities and an immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical fault-finding required.
• Experience servicing and repairing mechanical equipment.
• Basic electrical fault-finding knowledge preferred.
• Confidence diagnosing breakdowns and faults.

Responsibilities

• Salary: £28,000 – £38,000 per annum, depending on experience
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
• Break: 30 minutes unpaid
• Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Forklift Engineer – Northampton Quest Employment are recruiting for an experienced

to join a well-established operation based in Northampton, NN4.This is a permanent opportunity offering stable Monday-to-Friday hours, a salary of up to £38,000 depending on experience, overtime opportunities and long-term career stability.

The Role

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing forklift trucks and MHE
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and routine inspections
• Attending breakdowns and completing repairs efficiently
• Identifying damaged or worn components and completing necessary repairs
• Ensuring equipment is safe, operational and ready for use
• Completing service and maintenance records accurately
• Reporting faults, damage and safety concerns
• Working independently and alongside the wider engineering team
• Following all company Health & Safety procedures

What We're Looking For

• Ideally, you will have previous experience as a: Forklift Engineer / Forklift Technician / FLT Engineer / MHE Engineer / Forklift Service Engineer
• Experience working with any combination of diesel, LPG, electric, counterbalance, reach trucks or other MHE would be highly desirable.

You should also have:

• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
• Experience servicing and repairing mechanical equipment
• Basic electrical fault-finding knowledge
• Confidence diagnosing breakdowns

Candidates from plant engineering, agricultural machinery, HGV, automotive or similar mechanical backgrounds may also be considered where they have strong transferable servicing and fault-finding experience.
