Job summary

Workchain in Somercotes is seeking an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver to support daily site operations. You will move, load and unload materials safely and efficiently in a busy industrial warehouse.

This ongoing night shift runs 4pm to 2am, with pay £14.50–£15.50 per hour. The role requires a valid counterbalance forklift licence and a reliable, safety-conscious approach. Applicants must follow site procedures and ADR guidelines.

Qualifications

• Current counterbalance forklift licence or certificate.
• Experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or industrial setting.
• Solid understanding of health and safety practices.
• Ability to follow work instructions reliably and accurately.
• Physically fit for warehouse duties, including lifting and standing.
• Punctual with good timekeeping and attendance.

Responsibilities

• Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and responsibly.
• Load and unload vehicles as required.
• Move and position goods around the site.
• Check loads and ensure secure storage of materials.
• Follow site safety and ADR procedures.
• Complete basic workplace records when needed.
• Keep work areas tidy and report damages or issues.

The role
