Job summary

Workchain is recruiting an experienced Forklift Driver for night shifts at our Haydock warehouse in Merseyside. The role involves unloading trailers containing heavy internal doors and reloading them onto other trailers, in a fast-paced environment. Immediate start with the potential to go permanent.

Applicants must hold a valid forklift licence, have relevant operating experience, and be reliable and safety-conscious. Night shifts run Monday to Friday, 10:00 pm start, totaling 40 hours per week.

We are currently recruiting for experienced Forklift Drivers to join a busy operation based in Haydock. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable, hardworking individuals looking for an immediate start, with the potential for a permanent position. Working within a fast-paced warehouse and loading environment, you will be responsible for unloading trailers containing heavy internal doors and reloading them onto alternative trailers ready for onward transport.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Unloading trailers containing heavy internal doors.
• Loading doors onto alternative trailers as required.
• Carrying out manual handling and lifting duties where necessary.
• Ensuring goods are handled carefully to prevent damage.
• Following all health and safety procedures.
• Working efficiently as part of a team to meet daily operational targets.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, night shifts starting at 10:0 pm.40 hours per week in total. Friday is the busiest shift, with working hours potentially running from 10:00 pm until 10:00 am. Other shifts are approximately 7 hours, depending on operational requirements. Where a shift finishes early, you will still be paid for the full 7 hours, as advised.
