Pertemps Dudley Industrial is recruiting for an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver to work on a busy manufacturing site in Brierley Hill. You will operate counterbalance trucks, load and unload deliveries, and move materials between warehouse, storage and production areas.

The role requires a valid in-date FLT Counterbalance licence, previous warehouse experience preferred, and a strong focus on safety and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate FLT Counterbalance trucks safely in line with site procedures.
• Load and unload deliveries, including raw materials and finished goods.
• Transport materials between warehouse, storage areas and production lines.
• Ensure production lines are stocked to avoid downtime.
• Stack and store pallets in designated locations, including racking.
• Carry out daily FLT checks and report defects.
• Assist with goods-in and goods-out processes and paperwork checks.
• Use scanners or basic systems to track stock movements.
• Support stock control, including pallet counts and location checks.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Work to targets and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

Job description

A Forklift Driver position is available in Brierley Hill, offering £12.71 to £14.73 per hour on a full-time, ongoing basis through Pertemps Dudley Industrial. This role involves operating a counterbalance truck safely across a busy manufacturing site, loading and unloading deliveries, and moving raw materials or finished goods between warehouse, storage, and production areas. Duties also include maintaining consistent stock levels on production lines and stacking pallets into racking. Candidates must hold a valid, in-date counterbalance licence, with prior warehouse experience preferred. Reliability and a strong safety focus are essential, as is working effectively within a team to support daily operations.

Hours of Work (Rotating Double Days): Earlies: Monday to Thursday: 5:40am to 1:50pm and Friday: 5:40am to 11:30am Lates: Monday to Thursday: 1:40pm to 9:50pm and Friday: 11:20am to 5:10pm

Pay Rates: £12.71 per hour (first 12 weeks) Increasing to £14.73 per hour after 12 weeks
