Job summary

Contract Personnel Limited is recruiting experienced FLT drivers for a busy food manufacturing and warehousing operation in Welton. This full-time role combines forklift driving with general warehouse duties across ambient, chilled, freezer and outdoor storage, with a focus on safety, quality and efficiency.

Candidates must hold a valid FLT licence, have warehouse experience, and be comfortable in varying temperatures; training and progression may be provided.

Qualifications

• Valid FLT licence for Counterbalance, Pivot Steer (Bendi/Flexi) or Reach truck preferred.
• In-house or expired licences considered with conversion training provided.
• Experience in a warehouse, logistics or food manufacturing environment essential, especially with high racking.
• Strong understanding of safe FLT operation and warehouse processes; must pass an FLT theory assessment.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work safely at all times.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in chilled, freezer, ambient and outdoor environments.
• Willingness to carry out manual handling duties when required.

Responsibilities

• Operate Counterbalance or Pivot Steer (Bendi/Flexi) forklift trucks safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload vehicles.
• Move stock throughout the warehouse and production areas.
• Pick, replenish and put away stock.
• Carry out stock movements within ambient, chilled, freezer and external yard locations.
• Complete warehouse duties including housekeeping and maintaining a clean, safe working environment.
• Follow all food safety, health & safety and site procedures.
• Complete vehicle checks and report faults or defects.

We are recruiting experienced FLT Drivers happy to work on a rotating AM / PM shift pattern (no night shift) to join a busy food manufacturing and warehousing operation. This is a varied role combining forklift driving with general warehouse duties, supporting the movement and storage of food products while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

The environment includes work across ambient, chilled, freezer and outdoor storage areas, so candidates must be comfortable working in varying temperatures and conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operating Counterbalance or Pivot Steer (Bendi/Flexi) forklift trucks safely and efficiently.
• Loading and unloading vehicles.
• Moving stock throughout the warehouse and production areas.
• Picking, replenishing and putting away stock.
• Carrying out stock movements within ambient, chilled, freezer and external yard locations.
• Completing warehouse duties including housekeeping and maintaining a clean, safe working environment.
• Following all food safety, health & safety and site procedures.
• Completing vehicle checks and reporting any faults or defects.

Candidate Requirements

• Valid FLT licence for Counterbalance, Pivot Steer (Bendi/Flexi) or Reach truck preferred.
• Candidates expired or in-house licences will also be considered, with conversion training provided where appropriate.
• Previous experience within a warehouse, logistics or food manufacturing environment is essential (specifically with high racking).
• Strong understanding of safe FLT operation and warehouse processes.Must successfully pass an FLT theory assessment, therefore good operational knowledge of forklift safety and best practices is essential.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work safely at all times.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Full-time hours (37.5 hours per week).

Rotating AM / PM: 6:00am - 2:00pm / 2:00pm - 10:00pm (weekly rotation)
