Job summary

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment is recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join a growing team at a well-established manufacturing and distribution business based in Lutterworth. The role offers a permanent position with a salary of £30,500 per annum and 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with shifts 06:30–16:00 or 08:00–17:30.

You will load/unload, operate a forklift, move stock, use a gantry crane, and maintain a safe, clean warehouse environment as part of a new team achieving

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience required.
• Must hold a valid Counterbalance FLT licence.
• Experience operating a forklift in a busy warehouse environment.
• Comfortable handling and moving heavy materials.
• Good understanding of health and safety within a warehouse environment.

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are currently recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join a growing team at a well-established manufacturing and distribution business based in Lutterworth.

Following significant expansion and the relocation of their Head Office and Distribution Centre, our client is building a new warehouse team and is looking for reliable and experienced individuals to join them on a permanent basis.

The Role

As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring workloads are completed safely, efficiently and productively, while supporting the wider warehouse operation.

Duties will include:

• Loading and unloading containers and trailers carrying heavy materials


• Operating a forklift to move and position materials safely


• Using a gantry crane to handle heavy materials


• Moving stock around the warehouse


• Inspecting stock and reporting any damage


• Recording stock movements using a mobile terminal
