Natural Resources Wales is seeking a Senior Forestry Programme Engineer to lead a rolling five-year civil engineering programme across the Welsh Government Woodland Estate. You will deliver forest roads, bridges and infrastructure while guiding a multidisciplinary team and coordinating with Local Planning Authorities and SuDS Boards.

You will provide technical leadership, mentor staff, and ensure safety and environmental standards are met.

Qualificações

• Engineering or related technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience in programme & multi-project management; pursuing professional accreditation.
• Awareness of environmental habitats and wildlife and related legislation.
• Extensive knowledge of CDM2015 and health, safety & environmental risk management.
• Extensive knowledge of drainage and water management in upland environments.
• Experience of road construction and earthworks in upland/rural environments.
• Surveying and setting out road alignments.
• Strong ICT skills in AutoCAD, ArcGIS and MS Project.
• UK full driving licence.
• Membership in a professional body (ICE or IAgrE).

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with senior officers and leads across NRW multi-disciplinary teams.
• Identify consents and permissions required and instruct colleagues to obtain them.
• Provide mentoring and staff development support and champion health, safety, wellbeing and environmental objectives (CDM2015, UKWAS, ISO14001).
• Demonstrate project management principles including financial, programme, scope, risk and contract management for infrastructure and roads projects.
• Maintain project documentation and organise programme meetings.
• Prepare, track and manage project programmes and forecast milestones.
• Understand and manage programme delivery risks.
• Write and maintain project registers and manage financial, commercial, legal, operational risks.
• Engage Local Planning Authorities and SuDS boards to facilitate delivery.
• Build relationships to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Undertake health and safety duties and support NRW equality policies.
• Support personal development through a PDP (Sgwrs).
• Perform additional duties as required.
