Job summary

Trinity Road Primary School in Chelmsford is seeking a Forest School Lead to deliver a planned forest school curriculum and lead outdoor learning across the whole school. The role requires an Level 3 Forest School qualification (or Level 2 with progression) and experience with primary-age children, including SEND.

A keen commitment to outdoor play, risk-aware learning and wellbeing is essential. You will work full-time delivering Forest School sessions as part of the teacher's PPA, covering

Qualifications

• Level 3 forest school qualification or working towards level 3
• GCSE English & Maths at Grade C or above
• Experience with primary age children including SEND
• Evidence of teaching whole classes
• Knowledge of child development and healthy mental wellbeing
• Able to plan for health, safety and risk assessment
• Strong interpersonal skills with children, parents and staff

Responsibilities

• Lead Forest School sessions for the whole school and support learning needs
• Cover whole classes and support learning in outdoor settings
• Collaborate with teaching and support staff for high-quality planning
• Promote children's development and wellbeing through outdoor learning
• Deliver a hands-on, practical outdoor learning approach
