Job summary

Humber Centre NHS Trust is seeking a Band 6 Specialist Nurse to provide leadership on a low secure ward, supporting rehabilitation and community reintegration. You will work with the Ward Manager and MDT to deliver high-quality care and role-model best practice within a forensic setting.

The role emphasises staff development, supervision and a positive culture, with opportunities for leadership growth within Humber Centre’s Forensic Division.

Qualifications

• Part III or 13 of NMC live register.
• Understanding of Mental Capacity Act and related policy.
• Experience mentoring pre-registration students.
• IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership of the ward in the absence of the Ward Manager.
• Coordinate care planning, risk assessment and reviews with the MDT.
• Mentor junior staff and students and support supervision.
• Promote a safe, therapeutic and recovery-focused environment.
• Support rehabilitation and reintegration into the community.
