Job summary

Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a full-time Band 7 mental health specialist to work with out-of-area patients, planning discharge pathways from hospital into the community. Qualifications

• Registration in a mental health profession (RMN, OT, or Social Worker)
• Degree/diploma level with specialist qualification/training
• Evidence of post-registration training
• Mentorship Course/ENB equivalent
• Extensive post-qualifying experience in relevant service area
• Experience supervising staff and students
• Ability to manage a caseload of patients with complex needs
• Knowledge of forensic community interventions
• Awareness of Trust policies and service specifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist assessments and identify care pathways for patients
• Lead in service evaluation and quality improvement
• Provide regular clinical/management supervision and reflective practice
• Develop professional links with MDTs and external partners
• Attend CPA reviews and feedback to the MDT
• Travel across county and beyond as required
