Job summary

Priory Stockton Hall is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join the Allied Health Professionals and Psychology team on a full-time basis. You will support qualified occupational therapists in delivering assessments and therapeutic interventions to detained patients within a forensic mental health service line.

This entry-level role values resilience and empathy, with a focus on helping patients build life skills and participate meaningfully in daily activities.

Qualifications

• Entry level role, however experience in working in a health and social care setting is desired.
• Ability to update and maintain clinical records and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to qualified occupational therapists with planning, implementation and evaluation of therapy and care plans.
• Support patients’ mental, emotional, physical and social well-being.
• Deliver 1:1 and group sessions to aid recovery and independence.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and report unusual events to senior staff.
• Contribute to development of activity schedules and OT service timetables.
• Support OT assessments and propose ideas to enhance patient experience.
