Essex County Council’s Adult Social Care is recruiting an experienced Social Worker for our Forensic Mental Health Team based at Brockfield House, Wickford. This role operates within a medium/low secure unit under a Section 75 partnership, providing specialist mental health support and comprehensive assessments and safeguarding.

You will work with the MDT and external partners such as the MoJ and MAPPA, supporting patients across seven wards to enable discharge and successful community

Competenze

Active Social Worker registration with Social Work England.
Mental health experience in a social care setting.
Willingness and ability to travel around Essex and drive.

Mansioni

Prepare reports for the Mental Health Review Tribunal.
Liaise with MoJ and MAPPA and multi‑disciplinary teams.
Support discharge planning and community reintegration.
Collaborate with partner agencies to provide client‑centred care.
Assist patients with debts, benefits and practical needs.
