Essex County Council is seeking an adult Social Worker to join the Forensic Mental Health Team at Brockfield House, Wickford. Open to Newly Qualified Social Workers with relevant mental health experience.

The role involves collaborating with the MDT, preparing reports for the Mental Health Review Tribunal, and liaising with MoJ and MAPPA. You’ll support discharge planning and help patients with debts and benefits to aid community reintegration.

Qualifications

• Registered with Social Work England and experience in mental health.
• Ability to build strong relationships with partner agencies and the local community.
• Willingness to travel around Essex; driving licence required.

Responsabilités

• Provide reports for the Mental Health Review Tribunal.
• Liaise with external agencies such as the MoJ and MAPPA.
• Work with male and female patients across seven wards, assisting with debts and benefits to aid discharge and community integration.
• Contribute to Care Act assessments, reviews, support planning and safeguarding.
