Job summary

Matchtech Group in Southampton is seeking a detail-oriented professional to join its Anti-Illicit Trade Forensics and Compliance Team at a state-of-the-art R&D facility. The role combines forensic analysis, compliance monitoring, data management and stakeholder engagement to support authentication of products and investigation of counterfeit goods.

You will work with global partners and law enforcement, generating technical reports and contributing to regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in forensic analysis and material identification.
• Ability to interpret complex information clearly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 and database systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct forensic examinations and authentication across product categories and international markets.
• Identify counterfeit and illicit products using forensic and analytical techniques.
• Analyse samples to link production methods, materials and origin.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and statements for stakeholders and authorities.
• Manage market research data, identify trends and optimisations for processes.
• Support compliance reporting, data creation, cleansing and reporting.
• Monitor SCCP compliance across global markets.
• Support training delivery and global completion metrics.
• Maintain records and seizure-related information per regulations.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external agencies and law enforcement.
