Job summary

South West London and St Georges Mental Health NHS Trust is seeking a qualified nurse to join the Forensic Inpatient Service. You will assess and manage physical health needs of adults with serious mental illness across several wards, delivering high-quality care and ensuring continuity of treatment within a forensic setting.

Qualifications

• A First Level registered general nurse with current registration.
• Dip. He or RGN.
• Teaching experience/qualification.
• Venepuncture trained.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical health nursing assessments and care for adults with serious mental illness.
• Deliver high-quality service and continuity of care through regular health checks.
• Promote physical wellbeing and educate service users, carers and colleagues.
• Rollout education for all staff in the pathway focusing on physical health.
• Develop policies and guidelines for treatment of patients at risk in forensic environment.
