The role requires the flexibility to work not only in your base Custody suite but across an assigned region in the Police Custody Suites and Force area.

No previous forensic experience required as full training will be given.

Main duties of the job

As a certified nurse or paramedic, you can pursue a career within the criminal justice system, aiding some of society's most vulnerable individuals. We believe in the right to healthcare for all, placing their health and wellbeing at the heart of our approach to care. We seek individuals eager to provide exemplary care, take pride in being part of a team that shares this vision, and have a genuine enthusiasm for developing clinical, forensic, and broader skills.

In collaboration with the Police, you will serve in custody suites, delivering healthcare to detainees. We are dedicated to ensuring the safety of detainees with round-the-clock coverage in the custody suites, in line with a schedule agreed upon with our client.

About us

As well as a Scottish Widows Pension, you will qualify for a Blue Light card and associated shopping and leisure discounts. And if that is not enough, there is also the Mitie MiDeals: another discount scheme with over 3000 offers available from your favourite retailers, leisure and utilities companies.

Health and wellbeing benefits: We have a Virtual GP service to get ahead on appointments, and Employee Assistance Programme for any financial, relationship or mental health issues.

The Mitie Choices programme provides the opportunity to purchase extra Holiday Entitlement, Dental Insurance, Health cash plans, critical illness cover, and discounted gym membership.

Plus, share investment schemes, including Save-as-Earn (SAYE) and a Share Incentive Plan: A free share for every pair.

The Mitie Stars programme provides voucher awards for exceptional performance: recognition across the company and bonuses running to hundreds of pounds (thousands when judged to be the best Mitie Stars!).
