Job Summary

No previous forensic experience required as full training will be given.

In collaboration with the Police, you will serve in custody suites, delivering healthcare to detainees. We are dedicated to ensuring the safety of detainees with round-the-clock coverage in the custody suites, in line with a schedule agreed upon with our client.

Salary: £41,000/year full-time, £20,500 part-time

Working pattern: Full-time, Part-time

Location: North Manchester Custody Suite, Monsall, M40 5BP

Responsibilities

Full-time: Fixed shifts in a 4-on, 4-off rota (06:45-19:00 day shifts, 18:45-07:00 night shifts). Part-time: Fixed shifts with a pattern of 2 days on, 8 days off, 2 nights, 4 days off. Rota planned 2 years in advance. Estimated overtime: £3500/year. NMC/HCPC registration paid.

Person Specification

Qualifications (Essential):

  • RN, RGN, or RMN with dual registration: 2+ years post-qualification, Band 5 minimum
  • Paramedic: 2+ years post-qualification
  • Experience in a patient-facing role in relevant fields (e.g., A&E, emergency medicine, prison healthcare)
  • Driving license
  • Right to work in UK, lived in UK for 3+ years, no significant gaps out of country
  • Police vetting required
