Qualifications

  • Qualified Registered Nurse or Paramedic with a minimum of 3 years experience.
  • Experience in A&E, community nursing, or police custody is advantageous.

About the Role
  • £3000 estimated average overtime pay
  • £500 referral bonus - when you refer healthcare professionals to us
  • We will pay £120 NMC registration fees per year
  • We will pay £98.12 HCPC registration fees per year

Here at Mountain Healthcare, we are looking for passionate, determined, and resilient individuals to join our teams as Forensic Custody Healthcare Professionals based in Surrey.

This position is an excellent alternative career option for RGN's and qualified Paramedics with 3+ years' post-qualification experience.

Custody is a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. The police can detain individuals for up to 24 hours, during which we provide high-level care addressing issues from drug/alcohol dependency to acute medical episodes.

Our healthcare professionals are fully trained to collect forensic samples to assist police investigations.

No prior forensic experience is necessary. As a Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional, you will work closely with police and receive training to become an accredited Forensic Practitioner.

This is a Bank Vacancy Only and covers locations including:

  • Guildford
  • Staines
  • Salford
Duties Include
  • Forensic sampling (including blood samples for road traffic offences)
  • Signposting, referrals, and support for vulnerabilities to help reduce re-offending
  • Providing substance misuse therapies
  • Assessment & care of detainees and staff in custody
  • Promoting good personal healthcare
  • Working with Liaison and Diversion to identify mental health needs
  • Qualified Registered Nurse or Paramedic
  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience

Previous experience in areas such as A&E, walk-in centres, substance misuse, community nursing, police custody, prison, or as a Paramedic Practitioner or Registered Nurse is advantageous.
