Job summary

Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust is seeking two Band 3 Administrators for the Trevor Gibbens Unit. Roles include admin support to the Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist and MDT, with standard hours 09:00-17:00 and occasional emergency reception cover. Part-time and full-time options (30 hours) are available, based in Maidstone.

The role focuses on efficient care delivery, GDPR-compliant record handling, and liaison with patients, carers, and clinicians to support high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Band 3 Administrator role supporting Forensic Psychiatrist and MDT.
• Experience providing high-level admin support and minute-taking.
• Strong diary management and ability to prioritize under time pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide admin support to the Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist and MDT using BigHand for dictation and reporting.
• Manage complex clinical diaries for MDT meetings, tribunals, and section reviews.
• Take minutes and distribute action notes within one week.
• Maintain patient records and upload docs on Rio with GDPR compliance.
• Liaise with internal/external stakeholders and answer calls/enquiries.
