Teamforce Labour are actively seeking a Civils Foreman for immediate start in Leiston for a long term position.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in supervising civil engineering works, with strong experience in deep drainage operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision of all site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
- Managing site teams, subcontractors, and liaising with site engineers
- Reading and interpreting drawings and setting out where required
- Monitoring health & safety, enforcing compliance with RAMS and method statements
- Daily reporting and progress updates to the site/project manager
- Coordinating plant and materials for efficient site operations
Required Experience & Skills:
- Extensive experience in deep drainage (including manholes, pipes, and chambers)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple crews and maintain high productivity and quality standards
- Good understanding of groundworks, excavations, and reinstatement
- Confident reading construction drawings and planning works ahead
Certifications & Training (Essential):
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- CSCS (Gold/Black) card
- First Aid at Work
- Confined Spaces (preferred)
- CPCS/NPORS for relevant plant (advantageous)
- Full UK Driving Licence
