Job description

Teamforce Labour are actively seeking a Civils Foreman for immediate start in Leiston for a long term position.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in supervising civil engineering works, with strong experience in deep drainage operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervision of all site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
• Managing site teams, subcontractors, and liaising with site engineers
• Reading and interpreting drawings and setting out where required
• Monitoring health & safety, enforcing compliance with RAMS and method statements
• Daily reporting and progress updates to the site/project manager
• Coordinating plant and materials for efficient site operations

Required Experience & Skills:

• Extensive experience in deep drainage (including manholes, pipes, and chambers)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple crews and maintain high productivity and quality standards
• Good understanding of groundworks, excavations, and reinstatement
• Confident reading construction drawings and planning works ahead

Certifications & Training (Essential):

• SSSTS or SMSTS
• CSCS (Gold/Black) card
• First Aid at Work
• Confined Spaces (preferred)
• CPCS/NPORS for relevant plant (advantageous)
• Full UK Driving Licence
