Job summary

Marlin Environmental Services, part of Adler and Allan Group, is seeking a Foreman in Portsmouth to lead the South-East Commercial team. You will plan and coordinate day-to-day activities, deliver projects safely, on time and to customer requirements, and manage workshop activities and equipment at the Farlington facility.

Plan and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Marlin Environmental South-East Commercial team, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time and to customer requirements. Manage customer projects, workshop activities and equipment maintenance at the Farlington facility.

Work closely with customers and colleagues across the business to make the best use of resources, while ensuring compliance with SHEQ policies, company procedures and health and safety legislation.

More about the role:

• Plan and organise all internal and customer tasks and projects.
• Train, manage, organise and lead staff under your control, ensuring all tasks carried to customers satisfaction and in accordance to Marlin Environmental quality procedures
• Actively manage and resolve problems that arise prior to or during job execution, by liaising with team/customer.
• Ensure jobs are ready to start prior to deploying teams by liaising with customers for the provision of access/ permits/ temporary supplies etc.
• Working closely with stores to ensure all equipment, supplies and consumables available to complete tasks.
• Ensure accurate completion of tasks to customer's satisfaction, all documentation to be completed correctly and sign off acceptance sheets with customer.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence required
• Clear understanding and experience working within confined spaces and undertaking engineering tasks
• Relevant experience operating as a Team leader/Manager.
• Relevant practical experience and training in the required disciplines and ability to demonstrate how to carry out the projects and tasks
• Ability to create method statements, understand RAMS and COSHH assessments
• Communication skills – develop relationships with customers, suppliers and all levels of the Marlin Environmental Team.
