Job Summary:

Serving customers across Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia, ISC is committed to delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality solutions through a professional and passionate team.

As we continue to grow, ISC is seeking an experienced Scaffold Foreman to lead and coordinate scaffold crews on commercial and industrial construction projects. This hands‑on leadership role is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding systems while ensuring all company and jobsite safety requirements are followed. The ideal candidate will have strong scaffolding experience, proven leadership skills, and the ability to safely work at heights of 90 feet or higher.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing and other duties will be assigned based on the positions role within the business unit.

  • Manages the day‑to‑day activities of a construction site, including supervising the crew and ensuring work is done according to the plans and specifications.
  • Ensure crew has adequate materials, manpower, and resources.
  • Responsible for ensuring safety requirements, occupational health and quality standards are followed during the cutting, installation, removal, and disposal of insulation.
  • Create and communicate schedules to crew members in a timely manner.
  • Ensures the job site work area is always kept in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
  • Record time and attendance accurately for crew; submit weekly timesheets by the Payroll deadline.
  • Conduct daily briefings with crew to review assigned tasks and priorities, communicate and assess progress towards meeting productivity goals, communicate timelines, troubleshoot issues, and assess resources and support needed.
  • Ensure operations adhere to defined budget and timelines.
  • Train new crew members in accordance with company policy.
  • Communicate and track change orders with the construction manager and project manager.
  • Assess the scope of the job, accurately complete a material take‑off, and follow contract documents.
  • Maintains company equipment and company truck
  • Basic carpentry skills, able to lift 80-100 lbs
  • Willing to work weekends, off hour shifts, etc. when needed
  • Must be able to travel to the assigned jobsite, timeliness is a must
  • OSHA 10 training; OSHA 10/ 30+ / CPR/ First Aid
  • Transports and unloads scaffolding equipment at construction sites.
  • Assists with building scaffolding and securely attaching it to buildings or structures.
  • Helps to lay planks and other platforms for workers to stand/walk on.
  • Install fall protection equipment as needed.
  • Hoist and lower materials onto and off scaffolding.
  • Work with crane operators, as needed, to properly rig material onto platforms using equipment.
  • Inspect work daily and perform light maintenance.
  • Use power and hand tools as needed.
  • Breakdown scaffolding when project is complete.
  • Perform all work in accordance with safety requirements and plans/drawings.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Valid driver’s license/ability to pass a DMV check
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Previous scaffolding experience
  • Ability to safely and correctly use and maintain tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply information from job orders, work orders, technical drawings, and other plans
  • Demonstrated ability to listen and follow instructions carefully, accurately, and safely
  • Basic math skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment safely and correctly
  • Demonstrated commitment to following safety rules
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual (English, Spanish)
  • Supervisory Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED or graduation from trade school)
Physical Requirements

include but are not limited to the following:

  • Able to work in an outdoor construction work environment with potential exposure to dust, noise, waste, toxic and infectious materials and possible inclement weather conditions.
  • Able to walk, sit, stand, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, stretch, squat and climb, often in restricted spaces and at great heights.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Excellent hand‑to‑eye coordination.
  • Good dexterity and coordination
  • Able to wear required personal protective equipment.
  • Able to work safety with specialized construction equipment, tools, and materials.
  • Able to see, talk and hear in person and phone.
  • Able to lift & carry items up to approximately 100 lbs.
  • Able to understand and execute actions based on verbal and visual instructions.

  • Is an active participant in every project turnover meeting.
  • Has the ability to read contract drawings
  • Positively impacts their projects every day by driving safety, quality and production.
  • Follows up and follows through with Customers, Estimators, and Project Managers on deliverables.
  • Looks for opportunities to become more efficient on each job
  • Questions deviations from plans with customer and communicates to Project Managers and Estimators.
  • Has the ability to identify change orders.
  • Approves time daily.
  • Has a Positive “can do” attitude
