Job summary

Moulsham High School, part of Bridge Academy Trust in Chelmsford, seeks a Foreign Language Assistant (French) to support the MFL faculty for Sixth Form students (Years 12–13). The role focuses on building confidence, fluency and spontaneous language skills, preparing students for the AQA A Level French Paper 3 (Speaking).

The candidate should hold a degree (or be currently studying), possess native or near-native French, and have excellent French grammar and vocabulary.

We are looking for a Foreign Language Assistant (French) to support the Modern Foreign Languages faculty in the months leading up to 2027’s A Level examinations by working exclusively with Sixth Form students (Years 12 and 13). The primary focus is to build student confidence, fluency, and spontaneous language skills, specifically preparing them for the AQA A Level French Paper 3 (Speaking) examination.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level (or currently studying at degree level). They will have a native or near-native fluency in French. Excellent command of standard French grammar and vocabulary is essential as well as an ability to bring contemporary Francophone culture, current affairs, and authentic insights to life.

This post is subject enhanced DBS and Barred List checks and is not suitable for anyone banned from working with children.
