Job summary

Barnet FC is seeking a Press Officer to manage day-to-day communications, media relations and digital content across official platforms. You will work closely with the First Team and club departments to deliver engaging content, oversee matchday media and enhance the club’s profile with supporters, partners and the wider football community.

The ideal candidate has experience in football or professional sport, exceptional writing and speaking skills, and a strong understanding of digital media.

Qualifications

• Experience in football or professional sport is required.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong copywriting and proofreading abilities across platforms.

Responsibilities

• Champion Barnet FC with professional communications across channels.
• Produce and publish content on website, social media and digital platforms.
• Write match previews, reports, interviews, features and press releases.
• Lead matchday media operation and deliver timely team news and post‑match content.
• Coordinate media requests and arrange interviews with players and staff.
• Support with planning and delivering marketing, commercial and social media campaigns.
