Sports Interactive is seeking a talented Game Designer to join the team at Here East, London, to work on Football Manager for FM Console and FM Touch. You will shape feature designs, systems and interfaces, collaborating across disciplines to deliver depth and authenticity.

The role requires strong communication, design methodology and the ability to champion ideas from inception to delivery in a cross-functional environment. Hybrid work with 2–3 days in studio is offered.

Qualifications

• Systems-driven game designer with an appreciation for depth, replayability and simulation-heavy topics.
• Autonomous and proactive, taking ownership of gameplay features and systems while championing high standards of gameplay quality.
• Experience designing for multiple platforms, with an understanding of console and mobile requirements and constraints.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with UX/UI designers, engineers, QA and producers.
• Familiar with UX design principles and best practices.
• Passionate about football and game development.

Responsabilités

• Own the design of gameplay features and systems to deliver the highest quality Football Manager experience.
• Collaborate with UI/UX and Narrative designers on feature proposals and definitions.
• Document features and systems through detailed technical specifications for engineering implementation.
• Present design proposals to design stakeholders and incorporate feedback.
• Act as a conduit for cross-team communication to ensure navigation and functionality across platforms.
• Communicate progress, risks and opportunities to Production and Design Teams.
• Propose ideas and improvements to build a high-quality feature roadmap.
• Champion game quality through prototyping, playtesting and reviews with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Implement content and tune data in Unity when appropriate.
• Support QA with detailed test plans for features.
