Job summary

Sports Interactive is seeking a talented Game Designer to work on the Football Manager console and touch products. You will define and guide features, systems and interfaces, feeding the football simulation with depth and authenticity.

The role requires a dynamic, self-motivated designer with strong communication skills, capable of championing ideas from inception to delivery within a cross-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Systems-driven designer focused on depth and simulation.
• Autonomous, proactive ownership of gameplay features.
• Experience designing for console and mobile platforms.
• Strong written and verbal communication with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Familiar with UX design principles.

Responsibilities

• Own the design of gameplay features and systems to deliver high-quality experiences.
• Collaborate with UI/UX and Narrative designers on proposals and definitions.
• Document features and systems with detailed specs for engineering.
• Present design proposals to key stakeholders and incorporate feedback.
• Ensure cross-team communication and navigation across platforms is coherent.
• Communicate progress, risks and opportunities to Production and Design teams.
• Suggest ideas to build a high-quality feature roadmap from player feedback.
• Champion quality via prototyping, playtesting and reviews with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Implement content and tune data in Unity when appropriate.
• Support QA with detailed test plans for features.
