Job summary

City Football Group is recruiting a Junior Scouting Data Analyst to maintain and improve our internal scouting platform. The role focuses on data accuracy, structure and reliability to support scouts and football stakeholders globally.

You will combine SQL, data quality and problem-solving within a data-focused elite football environment, contributing to data infrastructure and processes behind CFG’s scouting operations.

Qualifications

• Experience using SQL to extract, update and manipulate data.
• Strong understanding of data accuracy and quality.
• Ability to investigate problems and identify root causes.
• Proactive approach to process improvement and problem-solving.
• Clear communication and collaboration with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accuracy and consistency of data within CFG’s internal scouting platform.
• Use SQL and administration tools to extract, update and manipulate scouting data.
• Undertake regular data-quality checks and identify inconsistencies or errors.
• Investigate data issues, establish root causes and implement solutions.
• Maintain clean and dependable scouting records.
• Troubleshoot platform and data issues quickly and methodically.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and workflows.
• Support development of the scouting platform for a global user base.
• Work with scouts, scout managers, IT teams and other stakeholders.
• Translate technical issues into practical actions and documentation.
