Job summary

SPAR Bodelwyddan is recruiting a Customer Team Member to support store management and deliver a great customer experience. You will assist in driving sales and ensure food-to-go quality, along with maintaining a clean, welcoming store environment.

The role is 18+ with shifts from 5am to 5pm, Monday to Sunday, offering opportunities for hands-on customer service, till operation, stock control and teamwork in a busy convenience store.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar retail role or industry is preferred.
• Reliable, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Understanding of retail legislation responsibilities and compliance.
• Ability to contribute ideas for improving customer service and sales.
• Experience with a 'Challenge 25' policy is desirable.
• Enthusiastic, proactive team member able to work independently.
• Previous cash handling experience is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Answer questions about products and services and help locate items.
• Process purchases at tills efficiently and accurately.
• Upsell products and highlight multi-buy offers to maximise store sales.
• Stock handling: check deliveries and stock shelves.
• Maintain a clean, organized sales floor and rotate stock.
• Complete additional tasks such as date checking, price changes and promotions as required.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
