Job summary

Alderman White School is seeking a Food Technology Technician to join the Technology department on a part-time basis, 15 hours a week across two days (Monday and Tuesday) during term time. You will support Food Technology and Textiles teaching across KS3/4, preparing equipment and ingredients and ensuring a clean, safe workspace for students and staff.

Experience in a school environment is beneficial, and a current Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate is advantageous but training will be provided

We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised, and proactive Food Technology Technician to support our busy Food Technology department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a practical environment and is passionate about supporting high-quality teaching and learning.

The successful candidate will be required to support the teaching of Food and Textiles sessions across Key Stage 3 and 4. You will provide day to day technical support, develop and prepare associated equipment, ingredients, facilities and materials for use by the teacher and students whilst maintaining a safe and hygienic working environment. Previous experience of working in a school and possession of a current Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate would be advantageous but are not essential as full training will be given.
