Job summary

Wollaston School is seeking a dedicated Food Technician to join our vibrant Food and Nutrition Department. The role supports practical lessons, ensuring a safe and well-organised environment for students, including resource preparation and classroom assistance.

The post is 37 hours per week, term time plus training days, with a salary in the NJC GRADE F (6-7) band (£22,354 – £22,710). There is a commitment to staff wellbeing and professional development, plus access to pension and parking.

• Prepare and clear away resources for food lessons
• Support students and staff during practical sessions
• Manage stock, order supplies, and maintain equipment
• Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met
• Provide general administrative support to the department
