TeacherActive Limited. is seeking a Food Technology Teacher for a secondary school in the Telford area on a supply basis. The role involves delivering practical and theory lessons across KS3 and KS4, with an emphasis on Food Preparation and Nutrition, including GCSE support.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging practical and theory lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Maintain strong behaviour for learning and high expectations in practical lessons.
• Check students' understanding and adjust teaching to meet individual needs.
• Support GCSE students in Food Preparation and Nutrition and related topics.

Salary: £140 - £220 per day

The school is looking to take on an enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher for supply, delivering engaging practical and theory lessons across the secondary age range. The successful Food Technology Teacher will be expected to maintain strong behaviour for learning, adapt teaching to meet individual needs, check students' understanding and support pupils studying Food Preparation and Nutrition, including GCSE students.

The successful Food Technology Teacher will have:

• QTS (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)
• A relevant Food Technology, Food Preparation and Nutrition or Design Technology specialism
• Experience teaching within a UK secondary school
• Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum, including Food Preparation and Nutrition
• Excellent classroom management and the ability to deliver safe, purposeful practical lessons
