Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Food Technology Teacher to join a mixed secondary school in Telford, with an immediate start. You will deliver engaging practical and theory lessons across KS3 and KS4, focusing on Food Preparation and Nutrition, including GCSE students.

The successful candidate will hold QTS, a relevant specialism, and UK secondary school experience, with strong classroom management and a creative, adaptable approach to meet students' needs.

Qualifications

• QTS (ECTs welcomed) and a valid teaching qualification in Food Technology.
• Specialism in Food Technology / Food Preparation & Nutrition / Design Technology.
• Experience teaching in a UK secondary school.
• Strong knowledge of KS3 and KS4 curricula, including Food Preparation and Nutrition.
• Excellent classroom management and ability to deliver safe, engaging practical lessons.
• Creative, adaptable and professional approach with high expectations for students.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging practical and theory lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Maintain strong behaviour for learning and high standards in the classroom.

Job Title: Food Technology Teacher Location: Telford Start Date: Immediate Start Salary: £140 - £220 per day

The school is looking to take on an enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher for supply, delivering engaging practical and theory lessons across the secondary age range.

The successful Food Technology Teacher will be expected to maintain strong behaviour for learning, adapt teaching to meet individual needs, check students' understanding and support pupils studying Food Preparation and Nutrition, including GCSE students.

The successful Food Technology Teacher will have:

• QTS (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)
• A relevant Food Technology, Food Preparation and Nutrition or Design Technology specialism
• Experience teaching within a UK secondary school
• Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum, including Food Preparation and Nutrition
• Excellent classroom management and the ability to deliver safe, purposeful practical lessons
• A creative, adaptable and professional approach with high expectations for students
