Food Technology / Catering HLTA

Location: Wandsworth Borough
Start Date: ASAP or September 2025
Salary: £110–£140 per day (depending on qualifications and experience)
Contract: Full-time, Long-term (Full Academic Year)

An outstanding alternative provision in Wandsworth is seeking a passionate and experienced Food Technology / Catering HLTA to join their team ASAP or from September 2025.

This is a full-time, long-term opportunity via the agency, running for the full academic year.

The school supports students aged 11–16 with EHCPs for SEMH, ASD, and ADHD. Alongside an engaging academic curriculum, the school places a strong emphasis on nurturing students' social and communication skills within a structured and supportive environment.

As the Food Technology/Catering Lead, you will play a key role in delivering practical and engaging food tech sessions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering hands-on practical lessons
  • Managing food budgets and ordering supplies
  • Ensuring kitchen and food safety standards are upheld
  • Supporting students to develop independence and life skills through cooking
  • Working closely with the wider pastoral and teaching team

This role would suit someone with experience in food preparation, catering, or hospitality, particularly with young people in SEN or alternative provision settings.
