English Provender Company in Thatcham is seeking a Food Technologist to provide technical support under the Technical Manager, liaising with suppliers and customers on technical requirements. This on-site role is permanent and full-time.

You will handle customer requests, investigate complaints, maintain health and safety standards, and work with NPD and Commercial teams to ensure compliant product launches.

Responsabilidades

• Respond to customer requests promptly and accurately.
• Investigate customer complaints and prepare monthly KPI reports.
• Maintain health and safety standards and comply with legislation.
• Highlight hazards, near misses, and accidents, and promote safe practices.
• Provide technical support to the company and customers within role scope.
• Assist in developing/updating policies to meet new legislation and customer requirements.
• Support audits and third-party inspections with the technical team.
• Contribute to KPI reviews to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Keep updated on legislation to ensure compliance and communicate changes internally.
• Assist in benchmarking products for technical compliance.
• Collaborate with NPD and Commercial to support launches and ensure nutrition/shelf-life analyses.
• Prepare Quality Attribute sheets and other technical documentation as required by customers.

MAIN PURPOSE

Under the direction of the Technical Manager provide technical support to the company, liaising with both suppliers/customers on technical requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES/KEY TASKS

CUSTOMER

• 1. Complete customer requests in a timely and organised manner
• 2. Investigate customer complaints and complete monthly complaint KPI report.

HEALTH & SAFETY

• 1. Maintain standards of health and safety and compliance to all appropriate legislation, hygiene, and security in the work environment
• 2. Highlight and report any hazards, near misses and accidents
• 3. Works and challenges others to work in a safe and responsible manner

TECHNICAL

• Provide technical Support to the company and all customers within reasons of the role.
• Assist in the development/maintenance of company policies in line with new legislation, customer requirements or company standards
• Assist the technical team during customer audits and visits, including during third party inspections.
• Assist the technical manager during customer KPI reviews, and in the tasks associated with this to ensure completion and customer satisfaction.
• Keep abreast of legislation to ensure company compliance and communicate any changes internally.
• Assist in the benchmarking of products to ensure technical compliance to specification.
• Work closely with NPD and Commercial to integrate with the NPD launch process to ensure successful product launches
• Ensure new products are analysed according to customer requirements for nutrition and shelf life.
• Completion of Quality Attribute sheets and any other technical documentation required by the customer, or the business.
• Assist in the update and maintenance of Unity to ensure technical information is available for all products.
• Attend and assist with development and PPR trials.
• Manage objectives set by the technical manager and ensure completion within the timescales provided.
