Pay: £120 - £190 per day (dependent on experience)

Are you a passionate and organised Food Technician or Food Technology Teacher looking to inspire the next generation of chefs and culinary enthusiasts?

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in the Thirsk area who are seeking a dedicated Food Technician Teacher to join their Design & Technology department. This is a full-time role to begin as soon as possible, continuing for the remainder of the academic year, with the potential to become permanent.

The ideal candidate will:

Hold QTS or relevant teaching qualifications in Food Technology or a related field

Have recent experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and KS4

Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills

Be enthusiastic, proactive and committed to supporting student achievement

Be confident in preparing practical food lessons and managing health & safety in a food tech environment

Responsibilities include:

Planning and delivering engaging and practical food lessons

Ensuring the safe use of kitchen equipment and ingredients

Supporting students with coursework and practical assessments

Collaborating with department colleagues to maintain high teaching standards
