Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking an experienced Food Technician for a school in Southwark. The role is full-time, five days per week, supporting practical food lessons and maintaining high standards of hygiene.

You will prepare ingredients, assist teachers, manage stock and help create a positive learning environment. A relevant degree is preferred, with strong practical experience and nutrition knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organise ingredients, equipment and resources for practical food lessons.
• Support teachers and students during practical cooking and food technology sessions.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health and safety.
• Manage stock, ordering and storage of food and equipment.
• Ensure kitchens, workspaces and equipment are clean, safe and ready for use.
• Support the smooth day-to-day running of the Food Technology department.
• Contribute to a positive, engaging and well-organised learning environment.
