Job summary

Philosophy Education LTD. is recruiting a Food Technician for a position at Hammersmith and Fulham Secondary School, with an ASAP start on a temp-perm basis.

The role involves supporting Food Technology lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5 and assisting in setting up practicals and preparing equipment. The successful candidate will have a Food background and an Enhanced DBS (Update Service) or be willing to obtain one.

The role – Food Technician

As a Food technician, you will be assistingteaching staff in the delivery of Food Technology lessons across KS3. KS4 and KS5. You will be involved in setting up practical lessons, including equipment preparation under the direction of the Senior Food Technician or Food technology teacher. You should have excellent attention to detail and a good understanding of health and safety practices when working within a Kitchen. Whilst the core of your role will be involved preparation and tidying up of the equipment, you may be required to assist in lessons as well.

The successful candidate will be a hardworking, passionate individual with a Food background and have an Enhanced DBS on the update Service or willing to obtain one
