Philosophy Education LTD is recruiting on behalf of a comprehensive secondary school in London for a Food Technician to support KS3–KS5 Food Technology lessons. The role involves setting up practicals, preparing equipment and assisting in lessons under the supervision of senior staff, with a strong emphasis on health and safety in the kitchen.

The successful candidate will have a Food background and an Enhanced DBS via the update service or be willing to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Experience or background in Food technology or culinary studies.
• Excellent attention to detail and safety awareness in a kitchen environment.
• Willingness to obtain/enhanced DBS check via update service.

Responsabilités

The role - Food Technician

As a Food technician, you will be assistingteaching staff in the delivery of Food Technology lessons across KS3. KS4 and KS5. You will be involved in setting up practical lessons, including equipment preparation under the direction of the Senior Food Technician or Food technology teacher. You should have excellent attention to detail and a good understanding of health and safety practices when working within a Kitchen. Whilst the core of your role will be involved preparation and tidying up of the equipment, you may be required to assist in lessons as well.

The successful candidate will be a hardworking, passionate individual with a Food background and have an Enhanced DBS on the update Service or willing to obtain one
