Do you enjoy working with food and keeping a busy kitchen organised?

We're looking for a Food Technician to join the Food Technology department of a secondary school in NN3, Northampton.

You'll play an important part in making sure practical lessons run smoothly, preparing ingredients and equipment before lessons, maintaining clean and safe workspaces, managing stock and supporting the department with the day-to-day running of its practical facilities.

You don't necessarily need previous school experience. We'd love to hear from candidates with experience in catering, kitchens, hospitality, food preparation or similar environments who would be interested in moving into education.

You need to be:

• Organised and reliable
• Confident with food preparation
• Knowledgeable about food hygiene and safety
• Comfortable working around young people
• Able to manage stock and equipment
• Friendly, practical and happy to get stuck in
• DBS on the update service

The role will include:
