Job summary

The Sterling Choice is seeking a food industry professional with a strong technical or quality background to step into technical management in Sunderland. You’ll work closely with the Technical Manager, taking ownership of key technical workstreams and acting as deputy when required.

Key focuses include supplier assurance, food safety and quality systems, audits (BRCGS/HACCP), risk assessments on raw materials and packaging, and handling customer complaints to drive continual improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in a food manufacturing Technical or Quality environment with strong knowledge of food safety systems and auditing.

• Supplier assurance, approval and auditing
• Food Safety & Quality Management Systems
• BRCGS, HACCP and customer compliance
• Raw material and packaging risk assessments
• Customer complaints, investigations and root cause analysis
• Non-conformances and corrective actions
• Audit readiness and continuous improvement
• Providing technical leadership when required
