Job summary

Academics is seeking a passionate Food Technology teacher for a full-time role in Epsom starting January 2027. You will deliver practical lessons across KS3/KS4, inspire students with cooking and nutrition, and help develop key hands-on skills within a supportive Design and Technology department.

The post requires QTS or equivalent, a background in Food Technology, strong classroom management, and a commitment to inclusive education. Experience in related vocational subjects is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualifications.
• Have experience teaching Food Technology.
• Be passionate about practical and vocational education.
• Have strong classroom management skills.
• Be committed to supporting students of all abilities.
• Experience teaching additional technology or vocational subjects would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Teach Food Technology across KS3 and KS4.
• Deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons.
• Inspire students through cooking, nutrition and healthy living.
• Support students in developing key practical and vocational skills.
• Contribute to other technology subjects where appropriate.
• Potentially teach vocational courses including hospitality, child development or related subjects.
